Berkeley Spark is highlighting the ever-evolving creative movement (no pun intended) of the Bay Area arts scene.
Participate ~ Here’s a big shout out to everyone in the community! We invite you to co-create an incredible experience with our community for one extraordinary day at Berkeley Spark. Organize a yoga workshop, a poetry slam, flash mob, interactive performance and/or interactive art, workshop, body painting, acoustic music, sideshow burlesque, relational art, action art, works-as-yet-undefined and those works never-to-be-defined.

Are you part of a local Burning Man theme camp? Would you like to share and interact with the Berkeley community before heading out to the Playa? In the midst of a fundraiser? Mutant Vehicle Fabricators
Do you have a Mutant Vehicle you’d like to share with the community? Test drive your unique and one-of-a-kind moving sculpture and share it with the public. We’d love to hear from you.
Call for Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Technologists, Hackers, Makers
Our “Innovation Triangle” was a huge hit last year and has evolved this year into the “Innovation Tech Corridor” providing local companies an opportunity to share their ideas with the public at large. The community will have the opportunity to meet local technology innovators representing the convergence of art, science and technology in the Bay Area. Contact us if you’re interested in participating!
Berkeley Spark’s Vendor’s Marketplace which will feature more than fourty talented independent West Coast designers gathered together with the finest designs for both on and off the Playa. See the Vendor page for guidelines and to submit an application.
All vendors (except Food and Body Healers) will need a Seller’s Permit to vend at Berkeley Spark 3.0.
Craft/Artisan Vendors – We are looking for Playa inspired clothing, accessories, body care products, lighting specialist and more. Booth spaces are either 10’x10′ or 10’x20′. We will also need a .pdf copy of your current California Reseller Permit. Food Vendors We have a number of food vending spaces available. Contact us for booth fee prices. We will need a current and valid seller’s permit with the Alameda County Health Department to apply and comply with all Health Department regulations regarding the sale of food. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Would you like to get involved in helping us create an amazing community-based event? We are always looking for talented, fun, energetic folks to help create and maintain the high quality of this event. We are looking for folks with all sorts of different skill levels. Bring your drone, your hoops, your poi, a rogue interactive art piece, your friends, your loved ones, maybe it’s your first date or you joined us last year and are up for another fun day in downtown Berkeley! As a participant, we invite you to stop by and experience a glimpse of local community culture. We look forward to seeing you there!
Leave No Trace
Based on Burning Man’s 10 Principles (http://burningman.org/culture/philosophical-center/10-principles/), this is a Leave No Trace event which means that we that everyone who is participating leave no trace at the Festival. We’re asking for everyone’s help in beautifying Civic Center Park before, during and after the event, which means what ever you bring to the Festival, you ask that you take with you and if you see something out of sorts, pick it up. Recycle. Reuse.
